Medicine Rattle Crafting

Ever wanted to make your own Medicine Rattle?

Drawing on the supporting energies of natural elements, combined with intention and sacred use, medicine rattles have been used to facilitate ‘shamanic’ journeys, healing work, meditation, dance, energy clearing and trance states. Sometimes a practitioner has different rattles for different ways of working, different purposes. A beautiful listening and response happens when a new partnership is forming.  Co-create a relationship with the spirits of kangaroo, goat or deer along with various tree, plant, stone & crystal medicines in these sacred tools.

Join Bastian for an inspiring creative day designing and crafting your very own raw hide medicine rattle.  Share in some practical lessons on how to use them to clear heavy energies, to invoke spiritual energies, and enter the semi trance state of journeying.  We will also explore the use of Rattles in energy healing sessions.

Through the lens of animism, the Rattle is considered to house a spirit, it is alive and carries consciousness.  We can build a relationship with this spirit and work together as allies.  A duty of care is naturally part of this relationship, to maintain respect and reciprocity.  Once the Rattles are made, the group will journey to connect welcome and make offerings to the unique spirit of each person’s Medicine Rattle.
